WEBINAR: PREVENTING AND ADDRESSING SEXUAL MISCONDUCT IN CANADAS GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT AND HUMANITARIAN SECTOR
ICN and CCIC Joint Webinar on Preventing and Addressing Sexual Misconduct in Canadas Global Development and Humanitarian Sector was held on November 13, 2018.
The Inter-Council Network of Provincial and Regional Councils (ICN) in collaboration with the Canadian Council for International Cooperation (CCIC) present a joint webinar to introduce and deepen understandings of the CCIC Leader’s Pledge and the work of the Steering Committee to Address and Prevent Sexual Misconduct in Canada’s global development and humanitarian sector.
As development and humanitarian organizations, we have a duty of care to all the people we work with; made even more critical by the power imbalances inherent in our work. Our sector is uniting around a commitment to create safe and respectful workplaces and programs that promote gender equality and are free from gender-based violence. The co-chairs of the CCIC Steering Committee to Address and Prevent Sexual Misconduct will join us to discuss emerging initiatives aimed at improving practices and policies that might protect and respond to our own staff, volunteers and the communities we serve.
Presenters:
Julie Delahanty, Executive Director of Oxfam Canada
Martin Settle, Executive Director of USC Canada
Participants would expect to learn about:
- The work of the Steering Committee,
- The Leader’s Pledge,
