Write for Rights 2022

Event Summary

On Human Rights Day, join Amnesty International supporters around the world in sending letters, emails and signing petitions in support of people at risk of human rights abuses

Event Details

On December 10th, drop in at the Centre for Social Innovation, 720 Bathurst Street, Toronto, just south of the Bathurst subway station, any time between 12:30 and 6pm.

We’ll have merchandise and refreshments to accompany your letter writing advocacy for 10 individuals who are experiencing violations of their human rights.

If the pandemic thwarts our in-person event, we would like to contact you so that we can still write together from our own homes, still count the number of messages we contribute to the international total, and still let you know about the success of the event. So please register HERE.

When registering, you may also list any accommodation or accessibility needs for an in-person gathering.

We ask everyone to wear a mask out of respect for the health of all participants.

The theme of Write for Rights 2022 is Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Assembly. Let’s assemble and use our freedom of expression to champion the rights of this year’s 10 cases!

To see who they are or to participate remotely, visit Write for Rights 2022 website.

Know that you are joining Amnesty International members in over 100 countries to promote fundamental human rights together.

WHEN: Saturday December 10th, 12:30pm – 6pm
