Youth for Basic Income: Pathways to achieving the SDGs
Event Details
Ever wondered what basic income is all about? Ever wish you had others to speak to about it?
Although discussions on basic income have existed for decades, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the conversation to the forefront of Canadian policy. Join OCIC’s Youth Policy-Makers Hub for a series of conversations and workshops featuring a range of voices on this issue, to co-imagine how it could become a reality in Canada.
This four-part series (3 webinars and 1 design thinking workshop) will build your knowledge and understanding of Basic Income from various perspectives and lenses.
The series is free and open to all. Registration is required. All webinars will be recorded and made available for viewing afterwards.
The second session of the series (June 18) invites expert panelists on different segments of the BI conversation. The webinar will focus on four cases for BI through a panel discussion and participant Q&A.

Dr. Gary Bloch, Family physician and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto
