Workshop: Exploring Decolonial Approaches in Public Engagement

Join the ICN on Friday, March 25th at 12PM (EST) to reflect on decolonial approaches in public engagement. The ICN will collaboratively reflect on key challenges and tensions associated with doing public engagement in decolonial ways. Drawing on insights from ICN’s research project on Feminist, Anti-racist and Decolonial Approaches in Public Engagement, they will focus on practical strategies that actors can adopt in their efforts to adopt decolonial practices in public engagement work. The aim is to equip participants with tools that they can use to critically reflect on their decolonial practices to avoid (re)producing colonial structures and systems.
