Brief Description:
The Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) is an expanding community of Ontario-based international development and global education organizations and individual associate members working globally for social justice.
Reporting to the Membership and Administrative Manager and the Public Engagement Coordinator, under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Event Fundraising Volunteer will work with OCIC staff, Board Directors, members, and other stakeholders in the coordination of OCIC’s 30th Anniversary activities, held in the fall of 2018.
OCIC is looking for a dedicated lead volunteer to assist with activities related to celebrating the Council’s 30th anniversary year. Ideal candidates will have experience with fundraising, donor / sponsor cultivation and management, experience or capacity to support events with diverse stakeholders, creative ideas, enthusiasm, skillful communications and writing abilities, and knowledge of / demonstrated interest in international cooperation issues. Event planning knowledge and experience is also an asset. As key contributors to a small and dynamic team, the Event Fundraising Volunteer must be able to work independently on a variety of tasks, and to motivate others to participate.
