GBV in its various forms affects millions of women and girls every day. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the crisis.

 

During the 16 Days of Activism Campaign against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), World Renew, Safe Church, and the CRCNA invite you to join us for the following online events:

 

On the eve of this year’s, 16 days of activism, join us for the launch of our advocacy guide Hidden Pandemic: GBV across the Globe* and a conversation on how concerted efforts to address GBV can be strengthened by unleashing the power and influence of the church and other faith-based organizations with guest speaker Dr. Elaine Storkey, a globally renowned author and theologian on Gender and Gender-based violence. (Attendees are invited to stay on for an extra 30 minutes Q&A with Dr. Elaine Storkey after the main session). Elaine was president of Tearfund UK for 17 years where she focused on issues women face. Her book, Scars Across Humanity: Understanding and Overcoming Violence Against Women was named ‘Book of the Year’ in Politics and Public Life in the Christianity Today 2019 Book Awards. World Renew leadership and other development actors will also share during our time together.
