Exploring Intersections between Higher Education and the SDGs
A World Cafe for individuals to engage in discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals and how common themes intersect and influence post-secondary education.
Education is a significant contributor to positive outcomes in all the Sustainable Development Goals. Recognizing the power of intersectional action from experts in education, health, technology, business, social development, and others is imperative to achieving a stronger and more sustainable world for current and future generations. To strengthen the connections between sectors, there needs to be articulated and intentional spaces for specialists to create integrative solutions to complex global problems.
The International Development Institute is hosting a World Café for individuals to engage in discussions on the Sustainable Development Goals and how common themes intersect and influence post-secondary education. After lunch, representatives will facilitate tours of the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation, focusing on how technology can be applied to different international development contexts. Morning refreshments and lunch will be served.
Tours of the Barrett Centre for Technology and Innovation are optional. You may exit the venue after lunch if you aren’t interested in touring the facilities.
