ENVIRONMENTAL LAW TOOLKIT – 2023 EDITION

Event Details

The Environmental Law Toolkit is designed to educate nonprofits active in the environmental field about the legal tools available to protect our air, water, land, and human health.

The Toolkit is presented in two parts:

– Part 1: A set of recordings which participants are to review on their own time. Each recording listed below has been recently reviewed by the presenters and either re-recorded or deemed up to date and relevant in 2023.

– Part 2: Two hour-long panel discussions will be held on November 14 and 15 on Zoom to discuss the various modules with registrants.

Register early for two months access to recordings and plenty of time to prepare before the panel discussions. Registrants will have access to all content for one month after the panels take place (until mid December).

The lectures and panel sessions will help you to understand what laws and policies exist to protect the environment and how to use them effectively as well as the opportunities provided by law to participate in government decision-making. It will also help you to understand where the legal framework for environmental protection is absent, incomplete or otherwise inadequate so that you can work to obtain stronger laws and policies.
