Rivera Sun

Rivera Sun is a change-maker, a cultural creative, a protest novelist, and an advocate for nonviolence and social justice. She is the author of The Dandelion InsurrectionThe Way Between and other novels as well as the editor of Nonviolence News. Her study guide to making change with nonviolent action is used by activist groups across the United States and around the world. In all of her work, she connects the dots between the issues, shares solutionary ideas, and inspires people to step up to the challenge of being a part of the story of change in our times.

Ruth Walmsley

Ruth Walmsley is a member of Vancouver Monthly Meeting (Quakers), and has served as Canadian Yearly Meeting representative on the KAIROS Ecological Justice Circle for the past 6 years. She is an activist and community organizer for social and environmental justice. In 2012 she co-founded BROKE—Burnaby Residents Opposing Kinder Morgan Expansion. Since August 2020 she has been working with Protect the Planet, Stop TMX to stop construction of the Trans Mountain Pipeline in the Vancouver area.
