Event Details

Have you ever been curious about entering the global development sector? Have you ever wanted to exchange your unique skill set for an opportunity to volunteer abroad?  International volunteering provides you with an experience where you are able to directly contribute your skills to development. This experience is unlike any other, as you are placed right at the centre of local communities where you will be immersed in a new culture, while giving back in a meaningful way.

Since 1977, WUSC has provided over 10,000 Canadians with high quality, informative and gratifying international volunteering opportunities. Through this collaborative approach, we are able to foster youth-centered solutions for improved education, economic, and empowerment opportunities to overcome inequality and exclusion in over 15 countries around the world.

Are you interested in joining our global network of individuals passionate about making a positive difference in the world? Join us on June 6th from 12pm to 1pm EDT for a virtual information and Q&A session curated for Canadians and permanent residents to learn more about the importance of international volunteering and how you can get involved.

During the event, you will:

  • Hear the firsthand accounts of international volunteering from a Canadian volunteer currently on assignment in Jordan
  • Hear about the inspiring WUSC partner organizations that are dedicated to improving economic opportunities and gender equality for youth in Jordan from a WUSC program officer in Jordan
  • Learn from one of our volunteer recruitment officers about the recruitment and pre-departure processes every volunteer undergoes before heading on assignment
  • Have the opportunity to ask all of your international volunteering questions to our esteemed panel of speakers
