The time for Collecting Courage is now!

It’s undeniably our stories, told by us and for us, publicly sharing and claiming our lived experiences as Black women and men working in the nonprofit and charitable space. Many of the stories are unbridled, disconcerting, pain-filled and uncomfortable and yet, they also reveal and celebrate the diversity and fullness of our lives. Our hope is that, regardless of the position one holds in the sector, Collecting Courage serves as a mirror and vessel for the reader to own, acknowledge and challenge their lived truths and actions as operatives within the sector.

“For while the tale of how we suffer, and how we are delighted, and how we may triumph is never new, it always must be heard. There isn’t any other tale to tell, it’s the only light we’ve got in all this darkness.” ˜ James Baldwin, Sonny’s Blues
