The Volunteer’s Role
May Doe Kabar (MDK)/ National Rural Women Network is an emerging community for rural women. May Doe Kabar/ National Rural Women Network aims to approach empowerment of rural women through leadership and community service, involving Policy Making processes and capacity building which works on building a common understanding and acceptance of dignity and human rights, Promoting Gender Equality, to end Violence/ discrimination against women in Myanmar. MDK envisions a tolerant, non-discriminatory society that respects, promotes and protects women rights in Myanmar. In this role, you will work with them to make that vision a reality.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Draft funding proposal according to the Strategic Plan of the May Doe Kabar organization
- Collaborate on the design of monitoring & evaluation (M&E) tools, follow up and compile reports of implemented activities
- Compile and write appealing success stories from projects and activities to be used for fundraising, advocacy and communication activities.
- Strengthening network administration and governance practices by working closely with international donors.
- To ensure the MDK’s Policy will be adaptable and reliable. Update “Theory of Change” and organizational development needs using participatory methods to ensure it reflects the understanding of the organization
Essential Academic Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following areas: Rural Development, development study, social science, public management or equivalent education
Essential Professional Background:
-2-3 years’ experience in resource mobilization
-Experienced in Rural Development, Monitoring & Evaluation
-Strong interpersonal skills
