Brief Description:
During your International Internship, you’ll be working with our awesome partner EDC. Education Development Center (EDC) is a global nonprofit that advances lasting solutions to improve education, promote health, and expand economic opportunity. Since 1958, EDC has been a leader in designing, implementing, and evaluating powerful and innovative programs in more than 80 countries around the world.
You will have the opportunity to: rotate throughout different program areas of a USAID-funded Liberian education project that is bringing accelerated learning programs to out-of-school children ages 8 -15 in six counties of Liberia; support communications work by leading the collection of information, collaborate with senior technical specialists to research, design, implement, and monitor activities that utilize tablets or mobile phones, support gender work by collaborating with senior technical specialists to research, design, implement, and monitor interventions for school-related gender-based violence. Support education work by reviewing and editing in-development curriculum for 1-6 graders and support trainings for teachers, government officials, and PTAs, as needed.
