The Volunteer’s Role
Do you have communication and digital marketing skills? Are you passionate about helping grassroots organizations increase their capacities and ensure sustainability? Do you enjoy social work with grassroots communities? This volunteering is for you!
Apply and support our partners TerritoriA and its community foundation Paisano to increase their technical capacity in developing positioning strategies in communication and digital marketing, achieving:
1. Attracting new donors, social investors and/or allies
2. Increase the number of volunteer applications through the Foundation's web platforms
3. Improve people's interaction with the Foundation's communication channels
4. Disseminate Paisano's message much better and generate community, as well as a sense of belonging among stakeholders
5. Manage a pool of volunteers in communications where there is spare capacity for the organization.
As a volunteer, you will:
Carry out a communication diagnosis of Paisano to identify where we are reaching, with whom we are communicating, the potential of such communications and others that allow us to remember the lines of action to follow to achieve the objectives above.
Implement the lines of action identified in the diagnosis to achieve the objectives described above.
To accompany and support the communication needs of Paisano's partner initiatives, organizations and enterprises.
Create channels for the attraction of volunteer staff to Paisano's different needs and motivate from there the creation of a core group of volunteers in the area of communications and digital marketing.
Essential Requirements:
Degree in communication, social sciences, or digital marketing, with demonstrable experience in the field.
Essential Background:
Experience and knowledge in digital donor recruitment strategies.
Experience and knowledge in gender and gender equality, development and social inclusion.
Experience working with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
Experience working with participatory methodologies and elaborating pedagogical materials and strategies.

Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

Terms and Conditions
Cuso International's terms and conditions allow you to lead a modest and healthy lifestyle while being effective in your placement. This support package will cover basic living expenses for one volunteer and is not intended to cover home-based expenses (eg. loans, support payments, etc.) or luxury items such as imported items in placement or international personal travel.

Complete an oral assessment during your preliminary telephone interview in the language required for your placement

Fundraising
We ask each volunteer, regardless of placement length, to raise $2,000. All volunteers receive support from Cuso International to help achieve the goal through fundraising. If the volunteer chooses not to fundraise or is unable to achieve the fundraising goal, he/she can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support our work.
