OCIC’s Consultation with Diaspora Communities for Canada’s Agenda 2030 National Strategy (Ottawa)

Event Details

With funding from the Government of Canada, the Ontario Council for International Cooperation (OCIC) is conducting consultations with diverse stakeholders, including Diaspora, to identify their priorities and explore how their community needs can be integrated into Canada’s forthcoming National Strategy for Sustainable Development.

If you are a member of a Diaspora group and are interested in elevating your community’s perspectives to help shape Canada’s approach to the Sustainable Development Goals in Canada and abroad, we invite you to express your interest to attend one of two in-person consultations to be held in Toronto and Ottawa.

No prior experience with the sustainable development goals is necessary or required. Consultations will convene a dynamic and diverse group of people to facilitate a holistic and inclusive dialogue.

To optimize the opportunity for meaningful and in-depth discussions, consultations will be limited to up to thirty participants. Should you be available and interested in participating in one of the two consultations outlined below, please express your interest by e-mailing Lamia Naji at lamia.naji.28@gmail.com (CC’d) and Eugenia Ochoa at public.engagement@ocic.on.ca.
