OCIC’s Consultation: Disability-Inclusion Focus Group Sessions
Event Details
The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians, as OCIC’s Consultation Lead Partner, will be organizing two Focus Groups to include community organizations, partners and individuals interested in contributing to the work that is being done with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in Canada. Please note that for these sessions, all participants will be pre-screened for their suitability to participate in a Focus Group. Disability-related accommodations will be provided for all participants.
There will be a $25 honorarium provided. All participant information will remain confidential.
Participant Criteria
The sessions will ensure diversity in our engagement of persons representing both visible and invisible disabilities: physical, sensory, developmental, mental-health, episodic and addictions. We will also prioritize those with intersectionality of gender, race, age, sexual-orientation and religion. We will include women, persons with disabilities, youth, seniors, LGBTQ, indigenous peoples, immigrants and visible minorities for this project.
