Minding our own business: How to ensure Canadian businesses respect human rights abroad

Event Details

On Thursday, May 14th at 7:30 pm Eastern time, join us for a corporate accountability webinar and hear directly from people whose lives have been negatively impacted by Canadian companies in the Philippines, the Brazilian Amazon, and Bangladesh. We will also hear from federal members of Parliament who will share their perspectives on what Canada should do.

While much of the world is on lock-down, the risks faced by workers and human rights defenders who are fighting for justice have not disappeared. Join us to discuss how you can take action to ensure Canadian companies respect human rights and the environment.

*May Month of Action for Mining Justice Month is an annual initiative of the 38 member organizations of the Canadian Network on Corporate Accountability. This year, because of the significant risks and vulnerabilities faced by garment workers in the fight against covid-19, our action is also focused on that sector.
