About
With a vision to see people freed from poverty, living transformed lives, and reaching their God-given potential, Tearfund partners with the local church to bring restoration to those living in poverty and need. Our programs focus on church and community mobilization, food security, sustainable agriculture, savings and business groups, trauma healing, climate adaptation, emergency relief, and reconciliation with Canada’s First Nations. By equipping people with tools to grow their own food, build livelihoods, and strengthen resilience, we help families move from dependency to dignity. Through this church-based approach, communities experience lasting change—breaking the cycle of poverty and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.
