Join us for From Learning to Action: Displacement, Community, and Global Citizenship, an interactive International Development Week event inspired by experience from the International Youth Internship

Event Details

This workshop draws on community-based work with children, youth, women, and families affected by displacement and migration, exploring how global realities intersect with local communities in Canada. Through storytelling, hands-on activities, and dialogue, participants will reflect on identity, belonging, and shared responsibility in an interconnected world. Participants will:

· Explore displacement and migration through lived experiences from Colombia

· Reflect on identity, belonging, and stigma across borders

· Learn how the Sustainable Development Goals connect to International Development Week

· Consider practical ways to engage as global citizens locally and globally

The event concludes with a pop-up salsa lesson and networking, celebrating culture as a form of resilience and community connection.
