Introducing Yellowhead Institute: Indigenous Strategies for Transformative Change
Event Details
When it comes to the relationship between Indigenous peoples and Canada, there is an increasing acceptance that change is needed. We see it in the media, governments, courts and in the ongoing activism of Indigenous peoples. But what direction are we moving in?
Join the Yellowhead Institute for our official launch event on “Indigenous Strategies for Transformative Change” with special guests Tanya Kappo, Courtney Skye, Khelsilem Rivers and Gordon Peters. The evening will include dynamic, engaging and informative discussions on the federal government’s proposed Indigenous Rights Framework as well as alternatives. We will also honour our namesake, Chief William Yellowhead (1760-1865), and his descendants with a feast. All are welcome!
