Haiti: A Decade of Impact

Event Details

On January 12th, 2010, thousands tragically lost their lives, and more than one million people were displaced from their homes. The disaster affected an estimated three million people. This event shook the global community, and immediately upon learning of the situation, WE sprang into action, developing a strategy to protect the children and support the population. Following the devastation of the earthquake which brought Haiti’s economy to near collapse, we doubled our efforts in the country, making Haiti the 6th WE Village country and implementing all five pillars of sustainable impact.
On Thursday, January 30 WE will be hosting a special event at the WE Global Learning Centre to share updates from our Haiti team, provide more information about the incredible initiatives happening across communities and offer updates on the vision for what’s next!
