A JUST FUTURE FOR ALL: Solidarity with South Sudan
Event Details
Join us on Tuesday, November 10 at 1:00 pm (ET) as Fr Augostine Ekeno SJ, gives an overview of the challenges the people of South Sudan are facing and how the Jesuits are accompanying them. He will be joined by 2 young South Sudanese women as they share their stories, the challenges they have faced and their hopes and dreams for a just future for all.
South Sudan, Africa’s youngest nation, was “beaten, stripped and left half-dead” by the impact of over fifty years of violent conflict which crippled key economic, social and political structures in the country. In spite of all these challenges, the young nation is hopeful for a just future for all through the creativity and commitment of its people, and the support and solidarity of the rest of the world.
