Empowering Women and Girls to Build Stronger Communities Through Food Security

Event Summary

Empowering Women and Girls to Build Stronger Communities Through Food Security

Event Details

Discussions will explore how conflict, climate shocks, and economic instability disproportionately impact women and girls, particularly in relation to access to essential livelihood resources. Drawing on evidence from Canadian civil society partners, the event will highlight practical approaches—such as climate-smart agriculture, locally led adaptation, and community development—that directly advance Canada’s triple nexus approach (humanitarian–development–peace) and the implementation of the Feminist International Assistance Policy.
