Hosted by ACIC, OCIC, and Spur Change, this two-day workshop will prepare your organization for the
unknown when travelling abroad.
By the end of the training, you will be able to:
Develop a profile of the organization’s practices in managing travel-related risks
Identify the priorities to address and manage situations effectively.
Improve organizational capacities to:
o Identify and analyze risks to implement appropriate mitigation measures,
o Develop diligent partnerships,
o Make informed decisions based on the organization’s risk threshold,
o Understand scenario-based planning and use it to develop contingency plans.
Improve risk management practices keeping personnel safe, secure, and healthy when abroad.
The training will be facilitated by Marie-Claude, founder of Aléas, who brings decades of expertise from
working in the fields of international logistics, program development and risk management.
This training is free and open to SMOs in Atlantic Canada and Ontario. Spaces are limited to 25
participants, with a maximum of three per organization. Travel subsidies are available on a first come
basis for eligible SMOs.
