A Roadmap for Today’s Muslim Women
About this Event
“You may shoot me with your words,

You may cut me with your eyes,

You may kill me with your hatefulness,

But still, like air, I’ll rise.”

– Maya Angelou

In honour of International Women’s Day, Islamic Relief Canada is pleased to host a fundraising tour with esteemed scholar, Ustadha Yasmin Mogahed.
Inspired by Maya Angelou’s words and in solidarity with the courageous women around the world, who rise despite their circumstances, we are hosting a series of inspiring events for our community to reflect, learn, and empower one another to become agents of change in today’s society.

Islamic Relief Canada recognizes that women are disproportionally affected by issues of mental health, poverty, conflict, and Islamophobia.

Join us for a conversation on how we can overcome the many challenges and obstacles faced by Muslim women and how we can bring women from the margins to the centre when it comes to addressing these issues.

**This event is open to all members of the community**
