4 GENERATIONS AT WORK: INTERGENERATIONAL ISSUES IN THE ENGO WORKPLACE
Event Details
Working in an intergenerational environment is sometimes confronting, surprising and frustrating. It can also be stimulating, energizing and inspiring.
Knowing the source of generational differences and their consequences is the best way to create an inclusive workplace that promotes the development of all generations. This presentation will give an overview of the challenges and changes that need to be made to make generational collaboration work.
We’ll explore various strategies to promote staff recruitment, motivation, cohesion and retention and create a better and more attractive work climate for all generations. Among them:
– How to define a generation and why are there differences?
– The characteristics and values of the Baby Boomers, X, Y and Z (Phygital) generations.
– The generations at work: vision, objectives, work organization, working methods, teamwork, relationship with authority & career development.
– The impact of the pandemic, technology and economic downturn on the expectations, priorities, goals and behaviours of Generations Y and Z.
– The do’s and don’ts in managing a multi-generational team.
We encourage you to consider registering multiple representatives from your ENGO both young and old(er) to facilitate intergenerational conversations.
