About the Global Summit: Innovation for an Equitable Future
On November 4th, Fora invites our Delegates, our community, and our partners to a public event that brings us together in conversation and learning about Innovation for an Equitable Future.
This full-day event is an opportunity for:
- Young professionals to build global connections through networking and mentorship sessions with community partners, industry professionals and thought leaders
- Advocates (and aspiring advocates) of all ages to learn tools and skills to drive greater impact in their local and national communities, through workshops and panel discussions
- Corporate leaders to share knowledge and showcase their commitment to innovation, youth leadership and gender equity as panel participants
Attendees will participate in dynamic conversations about different approaches to address local and global barriers to gender equity, and gain new tools and resources for including youth as leaders in decision-making spaces in meaningful ways.

What’s being covered?
The Global Summit: Innovation for an Equitable Future event is centered around advancing gender equity through innovation and technology.
Participants will:
- Explore how innovation in policies, management, finance, science and technology can change the status quo for young leaders in Canada and around the world
- Discuss ways to address barriers to the advancement of folks experiencing gender-based discrimination in innovation, technology and entrepreneurship
- Address how innovation can address global gender inequality and propel solutions toward a more equitable future
- Evaluate how public-private sector collaboration can accelerate the achievement of sustainable development goals through innovation and technological change
- Brainstorm how social innovation can be used as a tool to break trends and increase the awareness, access and availability of opportunities to advance gender equality and empowerment of women, girls and gender diverse folks, and address the need for technology-driven innovative solutions that meet the needs of young leaders
- Learn about tools and methodologies for gender-responsive approaches to industry innovation
