Every day, children in rural Zambia must walk for up to 4 hours to fetch water for their families’ survival, which is often contaminated and can make them very unwell. At Good Neighbors Canada, we plan to change this. We are aiming to fundraise a total of $27,000 this year to help us build safe, accessible sources of drinking water to change hundreds of lives. Join us and #Step4Water, so kids don’t have to.

Why do we Step4Water?

This summer, challenge yourself to walk or run a distance of 5K or 10K, to fundraise for us to build 6 new wells in rural villages in Zambia. In return for participating, you will receive,

  • An official Step4Water t-shirt
  • A finisher medal
  • A waterproof wristband
  • Vouchers to use in our Goods4Causes store
  • Most importantly, your name will be added to the sign outside one of the wells we build in rural Zambia this year. (If you’d like to opt out of this, you can let us know by emailing hello@gncanada.ca).

Enter on your own, or as part of a team of 2 or more for a $10 discount per person. Encourage your friends and family to donate to support you, and join in with the conversation throughout the month-long event on our virtual Kudoboard platform, where we’ll be running mini competitions for extra fitness-related prizes!
