Are you between 19 and 35? Are you a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident? Have you or will you have completed a diploma or degree by May 2024?

Rooftops Canada is seeking three (3) qualified candidates to participate in our 6-month Young Professionals (YP) International Placement Program as part of our five-year project “Women’s Spaces: Implementing Equal Rights to Land, Housing and Livelihoods” in Angola, Kenya, and Uganda. The Project is co-funded with Global Affairs Canada (GAC)

The placement positions includes:

– Database Administration Officer with Mazingira Institute (MI) in Nairobi, Kenya

– Communications Officer with Shelter and Settlements Alternatives Uganda (SSA) in Kampala, Uganda

– Communications Officer with Development Workshop Angola (DWA) in Huambo, Angola (Working knowledge of Portuguese is an asset)

Each YP will spend six months in their placement country. The program includes pre-departure and re-integration training of approximately one week (virtual or hybrid). The 2024 placements will take place from May/June to November. Travel and living expenses will be covered, including a monthly stipend.
