Brief Description:

World Renew is looking for a Proposal Developer to generate and track project proposals that can be used to encourage specific donations and engagement opportunities. The Proposal Developer position bridges communications between international field staff, and fundraising staff to generate and track project proposals that can be used to encourage specific donations and engagement opportunities. The position will collaborate with and initiate conversations with both field staff and fundraising staff to ensure the gathering, writing and organizing of marketable projects for World Renew donors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
-Develop and provide a portfolio of proposals for international community development projects for CORE Team members and others to use with donors, churches, foundations, and institutions for possible underwriting.
a. Work in collaboration with CORE team members and others to ensure that the proposals respond to donors’ needs and requests.
b. Using annual budgets developed by field offices, develop a master list of projects and track what has been presented to a donor, what has been funded, and what may be partially funded.
c. Work in collaboration with the finance team (Financial Program Manager and Chief Financial Officer) to ensure the accuracy of budgets and fundraising targets.
d. Provide project background, costing (in collaboration with the Financial Program Manager and Chief Financial Officer), metrics and reporting outline for each proposal.
e. Work in collaboration with Marketing and Communications to ensure that the proposals are written from World Renew-specific vision, philosophy and practice.
f. Ultimately, the goal will be to maintain a constant array of unrestricted funding options that are in current budgets for each country where World Renew does international community development
-Organize and track funding requests and proposals
a. Regularly update fundraising staff on projects that have been written, projects that have been presented, projects which have been fully funded and/or those that need significant funding.
b. Write and/or assist in the preparation of periodic reports to show impact, as part of the stewardship of designated gifts, whether unrestricted (first priority) or restricted projects.
c. Cross-reference and organize funding requests and proposals by region, cost and type.
-Assist with reporting for donors on the various projects, and reporting on longer-term gifts previously established or orchestrated outside this position itself
-Work closely with the Comprehensive Funding Campaign to ensure alignment with campaign goals
-Perform other duties as assigned

-Flexible and adaptable team player; proven skills in collaborating with others
-Demonstrated ability in working with spreadsheets
-Demonstrated ability in the area of fund development and/or donor relations is a definite asset
-Demonstrated experience across multiple channels: print, digital, video
-Demonstrated experience in persuasive writing
