Good Neighbors Canada

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in South Korea in 1991. After 5 years, we obtained consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). Good Neighbors Canada launched in March 2017. Under the Good Neighbors’ international governance, we focus on fundraising, volunteer programs, and global development campaigns to support field projects.

We are looking for a creative individual who can create impactful social media ads, create and publicize storytelling videos and analyze audience behaviour to achieve fundraising goals.

Role
The Online Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the creation and publicizing of marketing materials relating to Good Neighbors Canada’s international development projects. Responsibilities will include the use of video storytelling to create social media content, and to develop and analyze ad sets and their performance. The Online Marketing Coordinator will strengthen Good Neighbors Canada’s online impact, connect with influencers and media partners, and promote our platform through targeting specific audiences. The candidate will have the freedom to develop and initiate new online marketing and engagement campaigns whilst utilizing resources already available to us through the Good Neighbors International network. The Online Marketing Coordinator will attend regular team meetings to strengthen the whole organization’s capacity.

Duties

Creating content, including video, images and copy for use on social media, the GNCA blog. Video editing experience is essential.
Analyzing organic post performance and maximizing engagement through effective scheduling and media/post choices.
Development and analysis of paid social ads including via Facebook and Instagram, analysis of advertising strategy, iterative testing and refining to boost impact on a daily basis.
Management of charity Google Ads account.
Website maintenance and design. Understanding of WordPress or similar web building tool essential.
Promoting fundraising campaigns, projects, team member recruitment and content over social media, in a way that is consistent with the organization’s brand and social media strategy.
Interacting with donors and the wider public, and responding to enquiries in an informed and brand-aligned manner.
Developing new social media strategies and campaigns to achieve the year goals.
Managing a budget to be spent on promoting social media posts and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising.
Collaborating with colleagues from across marketing departments to ensure branding is consistent.
Meeting with donors, volunteers and social media influencers to pitch potential project fundraising and awareness campaigns, and developing partnership agreements with promotional partners.
Responsible for the development of online campaigns under Good Neighbors International brand guidelines and the creation of an annual posting schedule.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
A knowledge of and an interest in the methods organisations use to promote themselves through social media is a necessity.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Excellent Photo and video-editing experience (a portfolio or few recent examples will strengthen your application).
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Analytical and reporting ability.
An ability to multitask, to work on a number of projects at once.
Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
Good understanding of, and passion for, international humanitarian projects.
Experience with online fundraising.

Compensation
35 hours per week
Starting from $16 per hour
Period of 12 months
Possibility of extension of contract
