Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon

Start date: May 2023

Length of assignment: 6 months

Open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada only.

Role of the volunteer
The successful volunteer will have to develop and coordinate a monitoring and evaluation plan to measure the impact of this project and its sustainability. They will be called upon to develop monitoring and evaluation tools, train the ONACC team in the use of these tools, organize and participate in monitoring and evaluation missions in the field and support the ONACC team in drafting mission reports and the final report.

The volunteer will have to carry out the following activities:
Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan
Design monitoring and evaluation tools and train ONACC staff
Carry out field missions
Write a final project evaluation report

Essential academic skills:
University degree in one of the following disciplines: Project Management

Experience / Essential Professional Skills:
For this position, at least 5 years of relevant work experience is essential in the following functions:

Terms and Conditions
Cuso International terms and conditions allow you to lead a modest and healthy lifestyle while being effective in your placement. Modest monthly living allowance (varies depending on country)

Bonus: Additional return flight home or cash in lieu after 12 months of service for volunteers who extend for another 6 months

Please note that if you are shortlisted for the placement, you will be required to:
Provide two Professional References and one Personal Reference
Complete an oral assessment during your preliminary telephone interview in the language required for your placement
Obtain a Police Check at our request
Complete a full medical exam and be medically cleared by the Cuso International Medical Advisor prior to your departure

Fundraising

We ask each volunteer, regardless of placement length, to raise $2,000. All volunteers receive support from Cuso International to help achieve the goal through fundraising. If the volunteer chooses not to fundraise or is unable to achieve the fundraising goal, he/she can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support our work.
