Brief Description:

Rooftops Canada – Abri International is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and strategic candidate to assume the role of Executive Director in March 2024. Rooftops is celebrating its 40th Anniversary at a transformational moment focusing the organization on a stage of growth and development for its fundraising targets while developing a pipeline of new projects.

The Executive Director is the visible face of Rooftops’ fundraising, communications, public engagement, and institutional presence in the international development sector. The Executive Director works with a team of skilled staff, technical advisors, and consultants to design and implement international development projects, and foster cooperation networking with Canadian and international partners, governments, agencies, and other stakeholders.

As the international program of Canada’s cooperative and social housing movement and,
under the guidance of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director oversees the organizational vision for Rooftops Canada. The Executive Director will ensure continuance of Rooftops 40 years excellent practice advancing women’s empowerment and climate change action, while improving land rights, housing, and support to sustainable communities in the Global South through partnerships with local implementing organizations.
