The Volunteer’s Role
The Communication Advisor will support development, management of information and communication models already established in UNFPA and will work to raise the profile of UNFPA and the VOICE program in Nigeria.
We are trying to match the perfect volunteer to the perfect experience so our start dates can be flexible. It would just depend on the partner organization’s needs.
As a volunteer, you will:
-Support/contribute to development of information and communication materials
-Support/contribute to capacity building for UNFPA partners on communication management
-Support/ contribute to regular updates on website and social media platforms
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- Degree in relevant area (Marketing, Communication) or equivalent qualification in related area
Essential Professional Background:
- Knowledge of information and communications management
- Experience in developing project profiles
- Experience in developing training materials
Support Package
- Modest monthly living allowance (varies depending country)

- Travel and accommodation for reintegration debriefing weekend

- Cuso International assessment day (Candidates must cover the first $200 of the most cost-effective travel expenses and all accommodation costs).
- Travel and accommodation for the five-day pre-departure training course and for in-country orientation
- Bonus: Additional return flight home or cash in lieu after 12 months of service for volunteers who extend for another 6 months
