What is a Red Pashmina Walk?
A Red Pashmina Walk is a solidarity, awareness, and fundraising event that originated in Peterborough, Ontario in 2010. Members of the public participate in this free event and often raise pledges or make donations in support of Afghan women and girls before walking through their city wearing red pashmina scarves.

The walk will see cities from coast to coast walk on the same weekend to show solidarity and support for Afghan women and girls who are facing extreme violations of their fundamental human rights.

Walking or hiking shoes are recommended. Please bring a red shawl, scarf, hat, or wear something red!
