About
International Children’s Awareness (ICA) is a Canadian charitable organization registered with Canada Revenue Agency since 1994. Our mission is to eliminate barriers to sustainable growth in Cameroon, West Africa by supporting locally developed and implemented initiatives. We envision a world where all communities and individuals have access to the determinants of well being and sustainability. We are dedicated to a grassroots approach to international humanitarian development. Our focus historically has been to engaged with small and isolated communities to help them address their deficiencies in education, health and water. In response to the ongoing political crisis that began in 2016, ICA has expanded our programming to encompass areas of the country where large numbers of internally displaced people (IDP’s) have concentrated.
