About this session
Feminist approaches center gender justice, equity and inclusivity, challenging traditional power structures that often exclude or oppress various groups based on gender. This session will explore how feminist frameworks can enrich our global citizenship education practices.
Session Objectives
- Explore how feminist approaches can help make global citizenship education more inclusive, equitable, and grounded in gender justice
- Reflect on how power and representation show up in GCE work and how these dynamics can be shifted using feminist values
- Share and learn from experiences of applying gender-inclusive practices in GCE
- Discuss practical ways to center gender and equity in GCE, especially when working with diverse and marginalized communities
