International Humanitarian Law Conference: Vulnerabilities in Armed Conflict

The Canadian Red Cross, in partnership with the Centre for International Defence Policy will be hosting a International Humanitarian Law Conference titled ‘Vulnerabilities in Armed Conflict: Exploring Child Soldiers and Sex as a Weapon of War’ at Queen’s University, on March 9th, 2018 from 1:00pm – 5:30pm (reception to follow). Registration will be from 12:30pm-1:00pm. Through panel discussions, we will be exploring the role that International Humanitarian Law plays when looking at issues concerning the use of child soldiers in situations of armed conflict, and the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war. This conference will bring together experts in the field, academics, practitioners and representatives from the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. Admission is free.
