Draw the Line: Global Day of Action on Climate
Event Summary
On Saturday, September 20th, we're drawing the line - for People. For Peace. For the Planet. Join this march & rally!
Event Details
Join a global day of action to demand a better world. Let’s Draw The Line for peace, for people, for the planet. Rally at 2pm in Sankofa Square (Yonge & Dundas), march at 3pm and/or get inspired by speakers and information tables at 4pm at Queen’s Park.
What’s your passion? Economic, climate, migrant justice? Indigenous sovereignty, peace, building a future for youth? Defend those rights with thousands who feel as you do. Together we’ll demand a better Toronto, a better Ontario, a better Canada, a better world.
From rallies to strikes, marches to gatherings, this September 20th, communities will mobilize across the country and demand that Prime Minister Carney and the Canadian government pick a side: injustice, violence, and climate destruction- or a just and safe future for all of us.
This world is ours
Draw the Line is part of a wider series of global mobilizations to reclaim our world and demand system change that is taking place from June through to November: This World is Ours. Globally, peoples and communities are coming together to demand justice in the face of economic turmoil, ecological and climate catastrophe, political instability, vicious attacks on fundamental human rights, militarization, and, in places like Palestine and Sudan – genocide.
