Join Cuso International and the Manyatta Network for a meaningful conversation about women’s resilience and achievements in Ethiopia, Myanmar, Nigeria and how civil society groups through diaspora networks can play a role in development work and gender equality.
Our ‘Women for Change’ panelists will share their stories in celebration of International Women’s Day. Learn more about the work Cuso International is doing to support women, girls and gender equality around the world.
Panelists:
Abisola Olaniyi – Abisola’s work experience covers data analysis, international advocacy in Guatemala and Thailand, research, monitoring and evaluation in Nigeria.
Aly Pang – Aly recently completed an overseas placement with Cuso International. She worked with the Tavoyan Women’s Union in Dawei, Myanmar, supporting their programming and activities.
Dr. Grace Puja – Dr. Puja has a PhD in Sociology and Social Justice from the University of Toronto, an MA from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Southern California.
Carine Kouamen – Carine is a bilingual senior finance professional for the Royal Bank of Canada and regional lead for the Toronto’s Manyatta Network. Manyatta creates professional opportunities for the African Diaspora across Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa.
Moderated by Tina Sweeney, Cuso International Outreach and Partnerships Officer. Tina is an executive member of the Canadian International Council (CIC) Toronto branch, and on the International Development Program Advisory Committee of Centennial College.
