Role of the volunteer
On April 1, 2020, Cuso International launched a large-scale international cooperation project, deployed across all its countries of operation, including Cameroon. This eight-year project aims to contribute to the implementation of Cuso International’s strategic objectives for international cooperation, which are to promote gender equality, empower women and girls, and position volunteering as a key driver of sustainable development in Cameroon.

Women in Alternative Action (WAA Cameroon) works to promote women’s rights, prevent gender-based violence and empower women and girls socio-economically, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees.

The objective of the placement will be to consolidate, finalize and operationalize the monitoring and evaluation system put in place with WAA Cameroon, in order to ensure full ownership, the quality of the data produced, and the preparation of partners for the requirements of scaling up socio-professional integration interventions for IDP and refugee women.

The volunteer will be required to carry out the following activities:

Support the actual use of the MEAL system throughout a complete cycle of activities (training, integration, post-training follow-up)
Verify, clean and improve the quality of the collected data (consistency, completeness, disaggregation)
Adjust MEAL tools based on feedback from the field (participants, teams, community partners)
Strengthen the autonomy of WAA teams in the analysis and interpretation of data
Support the production of an end-of-cycle analytical report (participation, integration, teaching)
Documenting lessons learned and recommendations for larger-scale deployment

Essential academic skills:
University degree in one of the following disciplines:
• Monitoring and evaluation
• Project management
• Statistics
• Social Sciences
• International Development

Essential professional skills:
