Brief Description:

Skills Generator: Human x Tech is a new 10-week program to help young people gain in-demand knowledge, skills and networks for career development while using AI for good. This is your chance to learn how to use tech ethically, strengthen your irreplaceable ‘human’ skills and apply them to real-world challenges. No previous experience is required!

Program Format:
A mix of virtual workshops, mentorship and in-person events in Markham/Vaughan; the time commitment is low! Only ~3 hours/week for 10 weeks.

What you’ll gain:

• Explore how to use AI – ethically and effectively – in real-life situations
• Work on real community challenges with a team of your peers
• Connect with other young people, municipal government and industry leaders

• Markham cohort: June 2 – August 4, 2026

• Vaughan cohort: September 25 – November 26, 2026

Who should apply:
· Youth Ages 18–24: Priority for those who are un/under-employed and not in education.
· Living in York Region: In-person events are in Markham/ Vaughan
· Open to all backgrounds: Zero previous experience required.
