The Volunteer’s Role
Live in the most important business centre of Bolivia and work alongside the Bolivian Foundation for Social Development (FUNDESOC) in producing comprehensive educational materials and tools in the areas of risk prevention and entrepreneurship.
With these tools you've helped create, the FUNDESOC staff will develop trainings and support to at-risk youth in Santa Cruz while collaborating with private sector companies in the hopes of generating programs such as the Prevention of Social Risks Program, related to social inclusion that will benefit the community.
FUNDESOC works in a variety of programs, one of which is working with children and youth placed in shelters with the purpose of supporting their personal development and to help them become positive actors in their own community.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Review and adjust existing educational materials for social risk prevention.
- Verify that educational materials are useful with target population.
- Prepare a guide for social factors related to risk prevention.
- Assist in seeking financing for the production of educational materials and implementation of the Prevention of Social Risks Program.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
- University Degree in Education, Social Work or related field.

- Working experience with vulnerable groups and/or population
