Brief Description:
Our partner is looking for a Researcher in the field of watershed to develop a diagnosis of the Cuyamel micro-watershed. Located in the beautiful coastal zone of Honduras, in the municipality of Omoa, our partner the Comisión Acción Social Menonita (CASM), recruiting support for this mapping project and define the research methodology to be used for the project.
As a Micro-Watershed Researcher, you will bring your knowledge of water systems and research in environmental fields to develop a diagnosis of the micro-watershed and gather information on the characteristics of the watershed: water quality and quantity, type of soils and existing crops, main uses of water resources, distribution, access to water, main point/sources of contamination, etc.
You will also be asked to look at opportunities for environmentally-friendly use of the watershed and evaluate current practices and policies for management. Your work will also require a good ability to coordinate actions with other actors and organizations, as well as being able to share your knowledge and experience to strengthen other actors involved in the development of the sector.
