Overcoming the climate crisis: what needs to be done to avoid a catastrophe
Event Details
Science for Peace calls for immediate and emergency action on the terrifying warming of our planet, now proceeding at a rate hitherto unimaginable. We view climate change/climate justice centrally as a political problem: it concerns the relation of people to people and people to power.
Join us on Tuesday, January 26 at 7:00 pm (ET), as Professor Danny Harvey talks bout what we need to do and when to avoid catastrophic global warming. Professor Harvey is the author of “Global Warming: the hard science”. Also, he is a lead author of reports for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change.
