Peoples Assembly 2018 – Visioning Meeting

Event Details

The Toronto People’s Assembly on Climate Justice is a grassroots initiative that has been facilitating discussions about climate justice in Toronto since 2010. This year, we will be hosting an assembly in September, and wanted to do outreach early to get your input and support.

We are asking you to join us for a meeting on June 12, at 7pm at Saint Stephens in the Field church for snacks, tea/coffeee, and discussion. Facilitation will be provided by the Peoples Assembly.

At the meeting, we are looking for help deciding assembly themes for this year. We are also seeking endorsements from organizations, and volunteers to support in preparation for the assembly.

Coming into the meeting, we are hoping you can brainstorm ideas to chat about and discuss at this years assembly. In the past, we have hosted themes on Indigenous Rights and Resistance, migrant justice, war and the climate, direct action, food justice, impacts on the Global South, and many more.

When: Tuesday, June 12th, 7pm
Where: Church of St. Stephen in-the-Fields, Toronto, ON
