Join the Sustainability Network for a webinar presentation by Julie Gelfand, Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development on her Fall 2017 Report.
The 2017 reports that will be discussed include:
• Progress on Reducing Greenhouse Gases—Environment and Climate Change Canada
• Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change
• Funding Clean Energy Technologies
Ms. Gelfand will also briefly address the role of Auditors Generals around the world in auditing UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Agenda 2030.
She will also address the upcoming reports on the Preparedness of the Canadian government to implement the SDG, and the Collaborative Audit Summary report that will be tabled in March 2018.
About Julie Gelfand
Julie was appointed as Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development in March 2014. Before joining the Office of the Auditor General, Ms. Gelfand held the positions of Chief Advisor at Rio Tinto Canada and of Vice-President of Environment and Social Responsibility at the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC).
